Humna works in ink, pigment and clay — lettering verses, painting ornament, turning vessels by hand. What began as a private practice of attention is now a studio, and a room where others come to learn it.
I’m Humna, If you had told three-year-old me—sitting patiently beside my grandmother as she taught me how to draw my very first flower—that art would become my life’s greatest sanctuary, I might not have understood. But that quiet, sacred moment planted a seed that has grown over the last 35 years. I learned early on that creativity isn’t just about making something beautiful for the canvas; it’s a language of the soul. It’s a way to speak when words fail us, to hold space for our heaviest emotions, and to gently return home to ourselves.
As an award-winning artist and the founder of Art as Ibadat, my journey hasn’t just been about mastering techniques or blending colors. It has been a deeply personal path of healing—learning how to navigate anxiety, confront old wounds, and quiet the noise of a fast-paced world through the simple, grounding act of a brushstroke or a pattern.
Along the way, I realized that the profound peace and emotional release I found in art weren’t meant to be kept to myself.
That calling led me to create Art as Ibadat—a safe, judgment-free haven where we can let go of perfectionism, quiet our inner critics, and remember how to play, heal, and create again. Whether we are exploring sacred geometry, aligning our chakras, or simply letting our intuition guide a pencil across a blank page, my goal is to remind you that you don’t need to be a “professional” artist to heal. You just need the willingness to feel.
Wherever you are finding yourself right now—whether you feel overwhelmed, disconnected, or simply curious about rediscovering your inner magic—I am so glad you’re here.
Come as you are. Let’s breathe, create, and heal together.

Humna is a ray of hope and a very special guide because she reminds me to connect to the divine source (Allah) through my most favourite thing in the world that is Art. I am hooked to the sacred geometry like anything. The art teacher i always manifested is finally here. 💖
@humna_being mindful art sessions are like no other. Her work and her experience as she guides is very healing, reflective and creates an inner connection with oneself that comes out in the artistic expression. She is an amazing and incredible teacher who encourages her students to enjoy and explore and create their own style
I was introduced to Humna during lockdown days through her instagram lives , even though she is younger than me , I saw a gentle and a pure wisdom coming through her , her passion for Art , sacred geometry and the words of Allah were so inspiring and in the process of following her work and attending workshops I saw in myself a shift as well . This makes Humna not only an authentic person but an authentic teacher . Anyone who crosses path with Humna will be touched by something beautiful and other worldly .
It’s been one year that I’ve been introduced to this group. I love art and what better art then the one that brings me closer to Allah. The Friday sessions are a delight in my week. It’s a very warm community built around zikr where Humna through names of Allah and detailing Ayaat reshapes our perspective. Miracles come out of this in terms of visuals and transformations.
Following her inspirational journey as an artist, I first got the chance to meet Humna through her online sessions which helped me reach deeper parts of myself and have an authentic connection with Divinity. With her guidance as a mentor and the power of the arts, I found purpose and new directions in life I had never imagined possible. She’s a truly magical soul who helped me on my journey to meet my true self and inculcated values of gratitude and self worth. It was with her help that I was able to remove my creative blocks whilst activating and nurturing my active imagination.
